Ron Jones was raised on a family farm southwest of Twin Falls, ID and brings years of experience agriculture, soil conservation, water law and water history. He received a BS in Agricultural Economics from South Dakota State University and received his MBA from Colorado State University. He has served many years as a Soil and Water Conservation District supervisor and several years on the liaison committee for USDA Agricultural Research Service in Kimberly, ID.
Since 2002, he has served as CFO of Ecolotree Inc., an Iowa-based environmental engineering company that designs, installs, and maintains engineered forests at regulatory-permitted sites. He also serves on the Board of Leadership Idaho Agriculture and has been a representative for farmers on the Mid Snake Watershed Area Group reviewing the Temperature Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for the middle Snake River.
