Carmen Achabal currently serves as the Idaho Global Entrepreneurial Mission (IGEM) program manager for the Idaho Department of Commerce. The IGEM program is founded on public-private partnerships between Idaho’s public research universities and Idaho businesses and industries. Together with the Offices of Research and Economic Development for Idaho’s three public research universities: Boise State University, Idaho State University, and the University of Idaho, the team works to bring forward research projects with commercial viability for IGEM funding consideration.
Carmen is also an inaugural member and contributing author to the Idaho Knowledge Report, a yearly publication that outlines Idaho’s industry activity and trends, providing a comprehensive overview of Idaho’s economic health.
