MOSS - McCall Outdoor Science School

The McCall Outdoor Science School is the only publicly operated residential outdoor school in the entire state of Idaho.  Goals include:  Increase scientific literacy; connect people to the outdoors; build teamwork skills; and promote healthy and active lifestyles.
 
      With EPSCoR support MOSS has expanded to include 7th to 12th grade students and has expanded their teacher education programs.  MOSS integrates Idaho EPSCoR research into at least 20% of their curriculum.
       
      Annual Teacher Institute on climate, water and science...
      Spend a long weekend on stunning Payette Lake in McCall and work  alongside university scientists to discover the latest in climate and water  research and how it can be integrated into your classroom.
       
      Open to middle and high school science teachers
      Cost of the institute is covered by the National Science Foundation
      A $100 stipend will be provided to participants
      University of Idaho credit available at additional cost
      Space is limited to 30 participants per institute so register today!
